DEAR ALL:
I suffered from the same issue regarding facebook messages can not open I can not see my online friends in facebook chat, My chat box has gone upper left side etc...
Now at Last I found the solution which is as under:
FIREFOX:
1:- TOOLS> OPTIONS> PRIVACY tab then Clear your recent history, Remove your all cookies
click on CONTENT tab inside the OPTIONS
check BLOCK POP-UP WINDOWS then click Exceptions button next to this option remove facebook if listed
check LOAD IMAGES AUTOMATICALLY then click Exceptions button next to this option remove facebook if listed
check ENABLE JAVESCRIPT
2:- TOOLS> ADD-ONS>EXTENSION tab uninstall SKYPE if available
NOW CLOSE YOUR FIREFOX and go to WINDOWS 7
delete all files from this folder
C:\Users\Syed Ilyas Hussain\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
(note syed ilyas hussain is my user name)
delete all files from this folder
C:\Users\Syed Ilyas Hussain\AppData\Local\Temp
(note syed ilyas hussain is my user name)
NOW OPEN YOUR FIRE FOX, Open your facebook with username and password Enjoy your faceboook
