Solution


First, check the status of MSN Messenger servers to determine if the problem does not come from there: Check the status of the service is stable and running, go to the following:link If below image appears on your website, this means that everything is functioning well.


If it is still not working, consider the following method:
Under Windows Vista, the TCP / IP is optimized automatically. Under certain circumstances, this function is not compatible with some modems/routers and it is recommendable to disable TCP/IP.

Note that: This operation requires elevation.

Disable the TCP/IP

  • Click on Start then Run
  • Type cmd
  • Type (copy this line):
  • netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
  • Confirm with the Enter key

If you want to reactivate the TCP/IP

  • Type (copy this line):
  • netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=enabled"
  • Confirm with the Enter key.
