Hello,

My Name Is Chad

I bought my $5,500 Alienware laptop early this month, and just received last Saturday. As you can imagine based on this price it has the works. I have been using torrents for years, and i have never had a problem. Recently i was trying to partition my OS Drive so i could have a majority of the 640GB drive used as a separate drive for multimedia. My computer manger wouldn't allow me to adjust the GB to my liking, so i went looking for software. I couldn't find much without free trials, so i went looking for torrents. I heard that Partition Magic was a good program, so i went looking for that. I used one of the torrents sites i typically used, so i didn't think there would be a problem. After downloading the torrent, i began to install it. All seemed fine until i click on the icon to start using it. My computer immediately blue screened, and i couldn't start windows. On my old laptop (the one I'm currently using) i learned how to factory restore it by pressing F8
until the advance boot options came up. I tried this on my new laptop, but apparently I'm missing BOOTMGR. I even tried using the windows CD that came with it, but my OS drive was missing from the list. I then manage to get it back, but now theres an error with trying to install windows on it. If anyone has any ideas or suggestion i'd very much appreciate the help. I prefer a inexpensive way of dealing with this, but i'll do what i have to.

The Error Message was 0x80070057. I solved this by

1: pressing F12 as the computer booted.
2: slecting the disc drive to boot the windows disc.
3:I had to delete my OS drive
4: reformat it.
5:Install windows on it.
