Excel - Opening multiple windows simultaneously

April 2013

Excel - Opening multiple windows simultaneously

When you work on multiple files, they are generally in the same workspace, within the same Excel window in which they are either rearranged (Mosaic, horizontal, vertical, cascade) or super -imposed.

One may wish, for various reasons (particularly when using a dual screen configuration ), to have two or more separate Excel windows opened simultaneously.

To do this, once the first file opened, you must restart Excel to open the other file.
  • You can repeat the procedure as many times as needed.
