Excel -Encrypt your Workbook with a password



To protect your confidential data you can assign a password to your workbooks. A simple procedure:
  • Open the workbook, click on File > Info > Permissions >Encrypt with a password
  • In the Dialog box that opens, enter your password and validate with OK
  • You will be required to re-enter your password and click on OK again.
  • The status of Permissions for the particular workbook will change:
