Windows Vista - How to disable the Context Menus ?



If you want to disable the context menu (right-click) in the Windows Explorer, simply follow the below procedure:
  • Open the registry:
    • Start>run> type regedit
  • Go to the following key:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
  • Create a new 32-bit DWORD value and name it as NoViewContextMenu and set its value to : 1

Note that:
  • To enable Context Menus: 0
  • To disable Context Menus: 1
