Audacity is a free software for recording and editing sounds.
The software supports the following files: WAV, AIFF and MP3. It allows to cut audio files, delete or add silences, apply fading in/out to your audio and process the left /right channels separately. The program offers an unlimited number of undo. Moreover, it is possible to convert your disks and old cassettes on numerical support. You can apply filters to the sounds: echo, flange, distortion, reverberation, pitch bend/shift and much more. An analyzer of audio contrast optimizes the quality control of your audio files. The built-in editor allows to edit your own arrangements from several audio sequences and your projects can be exported into OGG, WAV and MP3 formats.
With this version, F11 key allows full screen mode, the function “Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift” has been improved, a sound analyzer has been integrated.
