tapisrv.exe (tapisrv stands for Telephony API Service) is a Windows NT/2000/XP generic process which manages telephony service such as dialing numbers, etc.
The process tapisrv is not in any way a virus, a worm, a Trojan horse, spyware, or adware.
It is a system process and should not be terminated.
