cidaemon.exe (cidaemon, Microsoft Indexing Service) is a generic Windows NT/2000/XP process corresponding to the Microsoft Windows Indexing Service. The indexing service catalogues all files on the computer in order to make file searches faster.
The process cidaemon is not in any way a virus, a worm, a Trojan horse, spyware, or adware.
It is a system process which can be terminated.
