VGA (SUB-D15) connector

SUB-D15 plugs

Mini Sub-D (ou SUB-D15) is a 15-pin connector (with three rows of 5 pins each).

This kind of connector is built into most graphics cards and is used to send 3 analog signals to the monitor, which correspond to the red, blue, and green components of the image:
